History

Memorable was created in November 1996, based on Ariel’s idea to pay his education expenses by baking and selling Patagonian Welsh (Black) Cakes made by using a secret family recipe given to him by Hilda Jones, his great-grandmother. In view of the success of the product, the family began to collaborate and become involved in this enterprise and, in 1998, they built a small plant with the purpose of increasing production to meet market needs.

These Welsh (Black) cakes began to be sold throughout Patagonia and Argentina, thus becoming positioned as an original gourmet product made in the Welsh community of the province of Chubut, in the Argentine Patagonia. Welsh (Black) cakes became one of the most important symbols of the gastronomic culture of the region.

In 2002, we created the Memorable bite and subsequently, we started to make “alfajores” (a traditional Argentine jam-filled sandwich cookie) and chocolates, living up to one of the principles of our small family business: offering distinguishing products with unique taste and quality features.

As a company we have always welcomed opinions and suggestions from our customers, consumers who appreciate nature, with a delicate palate and interested in the culture and history of our region.

This is why we base our corporate philosophy on a specific feature:
Natural products without any chemicals, with a fresh and distinctive flavor, original and native to the community, with a historical, cultural and geographical sense of belonging to our region. These products are intended to give pleasure, to delight friends or relatives, to tell a story of life or travel, or to be enjoyed at a particular time of the day, week, month or even the year.
